Love, Tennis, and a Perfect Match
When Rosa and Andrew reached out to me for their engagement shoot, I could already sense their down-to-earth and fun-loving vibe. They wanted something natural and intimate, with a touch of the personal—and where better to capture that than at Musick Point in Bucklands Beach where Andrew proposed? I had never visited Musik Point before and now it has become one of my favourite spots for wedding photography here in Auckland, and I couldn’t wait to see how we’d bring their unique love story to life there.
The Tennis Match That Sparked a Romance
Rosa and Andrew’s story began with a swing—a tennis swing, to be precise. They met as beginners at their local tennis club, bonding over shared practice sessions and a mutual desire to improve their game. What started as casual hits on the court soon blossomed into something more profound.
But it wasn’t just their love for tennis that brought them together; it was their connection as best friends who found joy in the little moments. Rosa loves how Andrew is determined and focused but never takes himself too seriously, always knowing how to make her laugh. Meanwhile, Andrew admires Rosa for being kind-hearted and making him want to be a better person. Their bond is built on a foundation of love, friendship, and just the right amount of silliness.
A Day at Musick Point: Capturing Fun, Love, and Laughter
Knowing that Rosa’s roots trace back to Korea, Andrew wanted to make his proposal both meaningful and personal. Overlooking the stunning eastern beaches, Andrew surprised Rosa with a heartfelt proposal—in Korean! It was a beautiful nod to her heritage and a testament to the thoughtfulness that defines their relationship. And, of course, Rosa said “Yes!”
With this backdrop of love and personal connection, Musick Point became the natural choice for their engagement shoot. As we strolled through the lush greenery and rocky coastline, it was beautiful to see both Andrew & Rosa them relaxed and be themselves. The goal was to capture their genuine moments—those little looks, the spontaneous laughter, and even the awkward poses that quickly turned into giggles. Every click of the shutter seemed to freeze a moment that was uniquely theirs.
